1. Mike Curtis. He would have made a GREAT Steeler. Also put a drunk fan down.
2. Bobby Bell, Willie Lanier, Jim Lynch. Other than the Steelers one of the greatest LB corp of all time
3. Ray Nitchske - Great linebacker
Great memories.

I liked Sanders also and wonder just how many more yards he would of had playing behind a better o-line and team.

Larry Csonka - what an animal he was. Not Smash Mouth, but Smash the life right out of opposing defensive players.
http://www.wetubeforsport...nneccesary-Roughness-Hit Bill Bates (Yes, I know he was a Cowboy)/ This guy was a hit man with an attitude. Tough as they come, he could demoralize entire offenses with his vicious hits. |

Pat Fischer. Cornerback Washington Redskins. I think I spelled it right. His coach said of him, he never missed a game, he never missed a play, he never
missed a practice.

I'd like to throw another name in the mix ... Steve Largent.
I owned Priest Holmes in a fantasy keeper league for 3 seasons during his peak, so I was thrilled with him also. Although I hated "Luv Ya Blue", I loved watching Warren Moon throw a football! |

You guys have covered quite a few good ones. I would add Walter Payton coulda been a Steeler he had the right attitude and was a lot of fun to watch play.
We come from the land of the Ice and Snow.

What's wrong with Bruce Smith? As I recall he was one of the top DEs in the history of the game.

And here I thought you guys knew something about football, but if you think Smith is laughable as a great player then I must reconsider my position as to the
knowledge level here.
I remember Bruce playing injured in a playoff game against us, you could see he was in extreme pain on the side line but he kept right on playing. I would have been proud to have him on the Steelers team and so would any of the rest of you here. As for him missing a championship game against us. No We never played them in the AFCC. In the divisional round of 92 perhaps I do not know. I have tried to forget that 24-3 loss at home. If he did not play it is pretty clear they did not need him that day. As for Teddy, give me a break, on the list of non Steeler LBs he would be way down the list if he made it at all. Yes Reggie was a great one also, I never was a fan but I have to admit I woudl have liked to have had him in his prime.

Bruchi!??? | ||
|
Bruchi couldn't have made fifth string as a Steeler.
He was so over-hyped by the ESPN Patriot infatuated broadcasters that it was sickening. They made him into a saint because he had a hole in his heart or some such malady. Well that in itself makes for a good human interest story, but not for anointment as anything beyond being just a decent football player. |

In addition to almost all those mentioned (loved Mike Curtis).
Johnny U. Roger "the Dodger" Mike Singletary Bubba Smith Alan Page Gail Sayers Ted Hendricks Kellen Winslow John Elway O.J. Not saying all these should have been Steelers, but fellows I really enjoyed watching. (Admittedly Johnny U. and Gail Sayers are mostly highlights).
